Search Engine Submission

I think submitting websites to search engines is almost entirely a waste of time. More important activities are:

Write articles regularly, submitting to articles directories (weekly activity)

Write Press releases using keywords in your title to www.prweb.com (do at least 1 per month)

Create a blog and update it with your URL in it (2 -3 times a week)

Get 1 way links from submitting your website to directories, in fact I can not live without www.directory-submitter.com software. It gives you over 800 places to get one way links from. After I submit my home page, I go back and submit my main sub-pages as well.

Create a video promoting something you are selling and submit to Google Video and www.youtube.com

Write a report and sell it on eBay with master reprint rights so other people on sell it too

Create a reason for people to pass your website on, such as using tell a friend scripts .

Be prepared to do constant activities like these that get you links. Do not forget PPC (pay per click) search engines such as Google Adwords,Bing and Yahoo’s Overture programs. This will also get you into the search engines.

Is Your Business On The Internet?

If you own a business — whether it be small or large, online or offline then you should know that if your business is not on the internet in some way, shape or form, you are leaving money on the table. And it might be a whole lot more money than you ever thought possible. You see, the internet is the most popular place for people to search for products or services to purchase. That means, if you are a business that sells products or services (of any kind); you better be online otherwise your competitors will beat you to the punch! It’s amazing how a simple little thing like showing up on the search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, MSN, Etc) can make such a big difference in how much money you make and how much exposure you get.

If you don’t already have a website or an online presence; it’s fairly easy to accomplish. Basically, all you need is a simple one-page website that displays all of the important details of your business including the phone number, address, hours of operation and what makes you different (and better) than your competitor. Try to get your business name as a DOT COM (i.e YourBusinessName.com) so that no one else can buy it and try to sabotage your business or benefit from your company name. It is very affordable to get a simple, basic website up and running and once you have one you will need to start promoting it.

There are many ways to promote a website and drive targeted traffic to it. There are free classified ad websites out there that you can promote your business on for FREE, as well as social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, link swapping, email marketing, Pay Per Click advertising and many more internet marketing methods and techniques. There is also the ever so popular “SEO” aka Search Engine Optimization which is becoming an industry standard for many businesses in virtually every niche market.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of optimizing your website to show up on the search engines for keyword phrases that are related to your business. For instance, if you sell boats in Chicago, Illinois… You would want your website to show up any time someone searched Google for “Boats in Chicago” or “Boats for sale in Chicago” am I right? In order to do this you would have to hire a professional search engine optimization specialist or consultant to come give you an analysis of your website and tell you exactly what needs to be done to improve your search engine rankings or get you to show up on them at all (if your not there already)!
